Turn on logic (USB) before applying high-voltage motor power.
This is a power supply issue. The manual recommends a separate 12V supply for the spindle and a different 12-24V supply for the logic. Or, add a large capacitor (1000µF) across the DC input.
The board is designed for accessibility and versatility in hobbyist and small-scale commercial environments.
