I host a Shell Challenge each month from my discord and Twitch channels. I need to be better about promoting them, however, so that’s what this section is for. Every first or second Wednesday of the month is tour night, and I tour everyone’s submissions on this night. If you cannot attend (or don’t get done in time for the deadline), I am more than happy to tour any completed shell challenge for free at any time you are able to stop by a sims stream on my Twitch channel.

That being said, this section is also all about having a record of all the shell challenges I’ve done in the past. I have, from very early on, always tried to make each of my shell challenges be a bit of a brain-teaser. Something that will make you think. Either with a theme, or a puzzle/problem, or coming up with a story in your head to match your build. I am perpetually coming up with new ideas, so don’t expect these challenges to stop anytime soon – I have at least through 2024 and most of 2025 already either planned, or the ideas sketched out. Depending on whether you are installing on a physical server (UCS) or a Virtual Machine (VM): : Simply upload the modified ISO to your ESXi datastore.

If the hash does not match, re-download. A corrupt .sgn file is unrecoverable.

Assumptions and safety notes

If you lose SSH root access or the CLI administrator account (platform admin), the ISO provides a recovery shell that bypasses the installed OS. From there, you can reset passwords.

As the progress bar ticked from 10% to 90%, Alex finally leaned back in his ergonomic chair, the tension leaving his shoulders. By 4:30 AM, the database was rebuilt, the services were "In Service," and the dial tone was back.

As the clock struck midnight, the final "Rebooting" message appeared. Suddenly, the silence of the office floor upstairs was broken. Hundreds of IP phones chirped in a digital choir, their screens lighting up with the company logo.

I am a 47 year old American wife, mother, and gamer. I’ve lived in the Midwest most of my life, and enjoy it for the changing seasons. My favorite movie is Labyrinth, my favorite game is Sims 4, and I have tattoos related to both. My favorite colors are purple, red, and green. When I’m not playing games (which is rare) I also enjoy reading and crafting. I’m also an animal lover, and have had many types of pets over the years. Currently, I have a dog named Cassie who is a Jack Russel / Beagle mix and five young fancy rats (all of whom are rescues). I run this Sims 4 Blog where I post screenshots and stories about the different challenges I play. Also here are the Sims 4 challenges I've written, and a place for me to store all the Sims 4 knowledge I've gotten over the years. I am also a Sims 4/variety streamer on Twitch for my mental health, fun, and to meet new people. I am also in the EA Creator Network and an Ubisoft Partner, which is a dream come true!
