The story follows Rusy (Sharman Joshi), a middle-class, honest RTO clerk who lives with his young son, Kayo, and his grumpy, cricket-hating father (Boman Irani). When Kayo is selected for a prestigious cricket camp in London, Rusy faces the impossible task of raising a large sum of money.

His parents were distraught. They couldn’t afford a private car, and the trains were on strike. Sam packed his model plane, his eyes dimming with the realization that his dream was grounded before it could take off.

Mr. Kapila drove slowly, a smile cracking his grumpy face. He realized that the speed he feared wasn't about danger—it was about the rush of helping someone else's dreams take flight.

That evening, Sam sat by the fence separating his house from Mr. Kapila’s junkyard. He stared at the yellow Beetle, Rusty, which was now a flower pot for wild weeds.

It was Mr. Kapila. He looked at the boy's sad face and the model plane in his lap. For years, Kapila had hidden his past, fearing the speed that had once taken everything from him. But looking at Sam, he saw the same spark he had lost decades ago.
