The Japanese American internment camps represent the darkest chapter of the American Homefront, where paranoia gutted civil liberties. Simultaneously, the "Double V" campaign (Victory abroad, Victory at home) was launched by Black Americans who returned from fighting fascism only to face Jim Crow segregation. Homefront
