The story he concocted was so elaborate it included claims of fathering over 40 children through donations and surviving a poisoning attempt by a jealous wife using a fictional drug called "hybrerodome". Premise and Format

While later seasons benefited from higher budgets and more elaborate stunts, Season 1 has a raw, "indie" charm. The guys were still relatively anonymous, meaning they could stay in a scene longer without being recognized.
