Sri Siddhartha Gautama was born in ancient India around 563 BCE. He was a prince, raised in luxury and sheltered from the outside world. However, as he encountered suffering and injustice, he began to question the meaning of life and the nature of reality. At the age of 29, he renounced his royal life and embarked on a spiritual quest, seeking enlightenment and a way to end suffering.
