VEC-643 occupies the "sweet spot" for design engineers who need moderately high digital performance, good analog precision, and industrial-grade isolation without paying the premium for an over-specified component like IND-900. Compared to the older VEC-412, the 643 revision offers a 4-bit increase in ADC resolution and critical isolation features, justifying its modest price increase.
