Anderson’s journey to “X Art” began in the summer of 2022, while she was completing a residency at the in Tromsø. Surrounded by endless horizons of midnight sun and polar night, she confronted the paradox of light and darkness that defined the Arctic experience. In a notebook entry dated July 14, 2022, she wrote:
