Here is the part that confuses many beginners:

Split4G creates etc. files (or .0, .1, .2 extensions) that PS3 backup managers automatically recognize and reassemble on the fly . That is the exclusive magic: you copy the split files to the USB, plug it into the PS3, and the game loads as if the original file were intact.
